Florigen is currently preparing its first pilot trial, expected to start early summer 2026. The pilot will take place in the Delphy Improvement Center facilities in Bleiswijk.
The trial focuses on indoor peppermint cultivation for menthol production and investigates how controlled environmental conditions such as light intensity, climate strategies and cultivation methods influence biomass production, oil yield and menthol concentration.
The project serves as a practical first validation and Proof of Concept of Florigen’s approach to controlled production of high-value plant compounds.
